Our client is a well known, international eVTOL Startup.

LOCATION: Working on-site is required (1-2 days per week  homeoffice possible)
DURATION: 12 Months

Your role and your team:

You will act as a key HSE ‘voice’, engaging internal and external stakeholders and promoting the subject widely. To be successful in this role you will need to manage a strong, positive relationship between all the constituent parts of Safety, across Aviation Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Occupational Safety (both Operations and Office/Workplace), and Health and Wellbeing. As the leader of HSE you will take an important part on the Safety Culture, you will support setting the standards and encourage all parties to understand and play their part in driving HSE to the heart of who we are and how we work.

Your day to day:

  • Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals, providing guidance and support in their roles.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HSE strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Report to top management on the performance of the HSE management system and any need for improvement.
  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and review of HSE objectives, targets, aspects, and programs across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain the occupational safety management system.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company HSE frameworks (policies, plans, procedures, manuals, and processes) in line with the regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation across the organization. Monitor legislative updates and review the HSE program as required to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Lead a program of audit and inspections to measure, and report on compliance across the organization with internal health and safety standards.
  • Ensure that an adequate program of training for health and safety is established.
  • Lead digitalization and implementation of required HSE Software’s.
  • Analyze and report the relevant HSE KPI´s and develop them further in a future oriented manner.
  • Carries out analysis of safety events, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.

Your profile:

  • University degree or completed apprenticeship.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the area of Health, Safety and Environment, ideally with a background working within the automotive, aerospace or closely related manufacturing and engineering sectors.
  • Deep understanding of HSE European (preferably German) rules and regulations.
  • Profound experience in a leadership role and in the management of different teams.
  • Proficiency in working with MS Office products.
  • Fluent English language skills required, fluency in German would be beneficial.
